Geek Bar Pulse versus RabBeats RC10000 Touch

Disposable Vapes

The world of disposable vape devices for adult vapers has heated up. Featuring the flavor profiles that most adults prefer, the preference for disposable vape devices can be traced to their convenience, simplicity, and wide variety of popular flavors. But the crux of their appeal is value.

As shown by the table below, even if they were only available in the less desirable faux-bacco nic salts loaded with artificial tobacco flavors, disposable vapes simply cost much less to operate than a refillable pod kit like a Juul or Vuse Alto. They are longer lasting and have far more advanced coil technology as well.

The Geek Bar Pulse collection features bold and popular flavors, the familiar and sweet fruit-inspired flavor profiles that are popular in every consumer good on the market.

Whether you are looking at kombucha, cannabis, hard seltzer, soft drinks, or breath mints, strawberry, grape, banana, citrus and other similar artificial fruit flavors dominate the market.

Disposable vapes have also far exceeded their more expensive rivals in performance and technology is obvious as well. Reviewed today with the Geek Bar Pulse is the Rabbeats RC10000 Touch. It features three power modes, a convenient touch screen interface, and an ample collection of delicious flavors.

Disposable vapes offer a maintenance-free solution, eliminating the need for refilling e-liquid or replacing coils, which appeals to those seeking a straightforward vaping experience. They are ready to use out of the box. Disposable vape devices are also packed with performance enhancing features, which brings us to today's comparison.

Geek Bar Pulse

The Geek Bar Pulse emerged as an advanced powerhouse with dual-mode performance right out of the box. Everything is where it should be and perfect. Even the softer texture of the mouthpiece is just right, if not quite as pliable as the Pyne Pod Boost.

Our Geek Bar Pulse Review was extremely favorable, as it was the first in a line of performance boosted disposable vape devices that have since claimed the attention of adult vapers everywhere.

Geek Bar Pulse

The mighty Geek Bar Pulse has spawned more than a few imitators, which also offer multiple performance modes, adjusted airflow, and a bold display. Yet it remains at the top of its class thanks to a diverse collection of flavors. It is not a stationary target, as shown in a review of new Geek Bar Pulse flavors. Below is a list of just a few of the Geek Bar Pulse alternatives currently available. The first on the list, the RabBeats RC10000 Touch, will be the focus of today's comparison.

Geek Bar Pulse Alternatives

RabBeats RC10000

The first RabBeats RC10000 was a sturdy and reliable device. Its big claim to fame was anti-burn technology, although it also featured small display which monitored e-liquid levels and battery life.

The RabBeats RC10000 Touch features the same form factor as its predecessor but is greatly enhanced. It is the exact size as the original, weight 60g and measuring about 3.3" from base to tip.

For a complete overview of the RabBeats RC10000 Touch's flavors and performance, check out our featured RabBeats RC10000 Touch review. Note that the RabBeats naming convention no longer makes as much sense with the new device, as it is capable of an estimated 14,000 puffs in its most efficient "Light Mode".

While the original RabBeats RC10000 was an excellent disposable vape device by any measure, it was totally outclassed by the Geek Bar Pulse in terms of features. Vaped in Normal mode against the original RC10000. This is no longer the case with the RC10000 Touch, but the Geek Bar Pulse remains at the front of the field in terms of performance.

Geek Bar Pulse LED Display

The first thing that sticks out about the Geek Bar Pulse is the display. It was a pioneer in design as well, featuring a rocket ship graphic to indicate that it was in the more powerful "Pulse Mode". But unlike the RabBeats Touch, it is not all digital. Changing between modes requires a decidedly analogue, albeit robust and idiot-proof, plastic switch.

Geek Bar Pulse LED Display

The rocket ship imagery is a surprising gamechanger as well. The Yovo 18000 Ultra, reviewed here, has a Galaga themed graphic animation. The Spaceman 10K Pro and Spaceman 20K Prism are literally named Spaceman.

And of course the Geek Bar's doppelganger, the RAZ TN9000, has a number of  very similar design elements. All of these devices are delicious and viable options. This is why the Mi-Pod disposable vapes collection features such a wide-range of outstanding and adult-friendly vapes.

Imitation is a form of flattery in this case because the Geek Bar Pulse simply works. The screen itself clearly displays battery life and e-liquid, with graphics when the disposable device is in use.

GEEK BAR PULSE MODES

  • Regular Mode: 15,000 Puffs. 10-watts. Lights up Green.
  • Pulse Mode: 7,500 Puffs. 20-watts. Rocket Ship
  • Close: Device is turned off.

Geek Bar Pulse Interface

The Geek Bar Pulse settings are changed with a switch on the bottom. There are three positions and two modes. The third position turns off the device. There are holes bored in the plastic of the switch, which also changes the airflow. The draw is tighter for the lower wattage Regular Mode with fewer holes and the Pulse Mode has a more open airflow.

Regular Mode Geek Bar Pulse

The Geek Bar Pulse is most efficient in regular mode. Battery life is extended, and the puff count is said to double. Running at about 10-watts, it is quite comparable to a typical disposable vape. There is still a ton of flavor and airflow is open enough to create an impressive amount of vapor. The device itself lights up green in regular mode. The regular mode aspect of the coil is optimized for efficiency, extracting an impressive, estimated puff count of 15,000.

Coil Geek Bar Pulse

For many adult vapers, there is no need to hit a 20-watt, near direct-lung disposable vape that is churning through 5 percent strength salts using a dual mesh coil with around 1.0ohms of resistance. The standard performance is more than sufficient, and the flavor is razor sharp. The Geek Bar Pulse also has an advanced chipset for a disposable vape which allows it to function well when the battery is low on power. The coil itself lacks the anti-burn technology of the RabBeats RC10000 series but didn't fall off a cliff during the last third of its life.

Pulse Mode Geek Bar Pulse

The Pulse Mode of the Geek Bar Pulse is not as overwhelming of an experience as it sounds on paper. While 20-watts is more than an old-fashioned cig-a-like could dream of, it is a bit less than a Novo 3, UWell Caliburn, or Voopoo Vinci, all of which have coils designed for 5 percent strength salt nic juice.

While its 5 percent is a bit stiff for the author to enjoy much of, that is also the point. And the flavors are spot on. The dual coil and increased airflow do ramp up the vapor production quite a bit, making it a rather potent device in Pulse Mode. But this is not some 200-watts box mod. The vapor production and flavor density are great, but it certainly was never meant as a fog machine. Instead, it delivers punchy performance in Pulse Mode. It also drains the battery at a more rapid clip and the puff count is cut literally in half. Which makes sense as it is churning out twice the power from the same 650mAh battery.

It is identical in size and form factor, but the RabBeats Touch is an entirely different animal when compared to its predecessor. It retains the anti-burn protection technology but the name RC10000 no longer applies. In Light mode, the least powerful setting, it is in fact the RC14000 according to the puff count estimate. The improved RabBeats Touch has a deep bag of tricks, making it a worthy rival of the Geek Bar Pulse.

RabBeats RC10000 Touch Interactive Display

The RabBeats RC10000 Touch features the first touch screen in a disposable vape. There are two main interactive displays to consider. The first visualizes how much e-liquid and battery life you have remaining. It has both a line, not dissimilar to a fuel gauge, and the percent is written below.

As shown above, the screen also has the now standard, some might argue superfluous, visual displays that oscillate and pulsate as the device is in use. But it is super easy to use and with a touch, you can switch to a more immersive interface.

This easy-to-use menu allows you to flip between the 3 vape modes of the RabBeats RC10000 Touch.

RabBeats Touch Modes

  • Light Mode: 14,000 Puffs
  • Smooth Mode: 12,000 Puffs
  • Strong Mode: 10,000 Puffs

With the tightest draw, dense flavor, and efficient vapor production Light Mode was my go-to with the 5 percent strength RabBeats Touch RC10000. Battery life matters and it extracts the longest performance between charges. The USB-C rechargeable port brings it back up to speed quickly, but it is nice to not worry about blowing through the battery life.

It also cuts down the e-liquid being used, although there is less danger of chopping through 10,000 strong mode puffs in a single day!

Smooth mode has excellent vapor production and probably enough kick for most boosted vapes fans. Strong Mode allows the RabBeats Touch RC1000 to match vapor production with its many boosted rivals.

The anti-burn technology is really put to the test on a device this portable. It is not unheard of for disposable vapes with multiple modes to struggle a little if the user vapes exclusively in a single mode. Advancements in coil technology will certainly iron out this problem.

RabBeats RC10000 and Geek Bar Pulse Flavors

Flavor is a rather subjective measure. Reliability, performance, ease-of-use, vapor production, coil performance, flavor density, and other measures are much more empirical. Which is your favorite Blue Razz, or if you could even pick it out in a blind taste test, is an entirely different can of worms.

But both the Geek Bar Pulse and RabBeats RC10000 Touch feature the flavors that the majority of adult vapers prefer by a wide margin. Neither goes too far out of pocket, the American assembled Fifty Bar with its US-made Beard Vape Co. dessert flavors is a better choice for the adventurous or those whose palates have tired of menthol and fruit fusions.

What should be noted in a national campaign by nicotine abstinence advocates and the tobacco industry is that vape flavor bans increase cigarette sales.

Ideally, one-time use devices would not be the most popular vape. We owe regulatory distortion for that. And certainly, it would be nice if the PACT Act didn't decimate so many American vape manufacturers. But what cannot be ignored according to the FDA's own data is that many adult vapers would rather be funneled back onto combustible cigarettes than embrace the expensive and phony tobacco tasting pod kits sold at convenience stores and gas stations.

Disposable Vape Displays

If a touch-display seems a bit excessive for a one-time use device, federal regulators can be thanked for that. Favoring the tobacco-industry's products in the PMTA process and attempt to lock technology in 2016 stasis was destined to fail. We can only wonder what sort of innovations adult vapers could be enjoying. More importantly, the vast amount of processing power and technological innovations that have occurred since 2016 could be leveraged to further reduce a teen vaping rate that has already plummeted from its 2019 peak.

Teen Vaping

Geofencing, lockable devices, devices paired with smart phones, all manner of innovations stifled by the 2016 Deeming Law. If refillable devices and nic salts with the flavor density found in disposables were widely available, not only could waste be reduced but actionable innovations could further strengthen Tobacco-21 laws.

Our Verdict

It may seem like a cop-out but at the end of the day flavor matters most. And the difference in flavors between these disposables is rarely that great. They close align their flavors with same popular artificial fruit notes that are widely loved across the board. Geek Bar stuck their neck out a bit further with an array of "Sour Pop" themed flavors that are blissful.

But RabBeats did not just stick to the mint, Miami Mint, LA Mint, Blue Razz, Mango, Strawnana, and Peach Ice formula. Cherry is one of the hottest flavors in vaping and they have an excellent cherry lemon.

You cannot go wrong with either device, both have delicious flavors, bullet proof reliability, and intense flavor performance. The author assumed the Geek Bar Pulse would hold court, as it and the RAZ TN9000 have been his favorite for many months, but the surprisingly the form and flexibility of the RabBeats RC10000 might make the stronger case.
